About Us

Who are we?

Endometriosis New Zealand is New Zealand's only national endometriosis organisation. It is a non-government funded charitable trust promoting awareness of endometriosis, providing information, education and raising funds to support endometriosis related initiatives, including its unique programmes and services.

Our logo symbol is taken from the traditional New Zealand Maori design known as the koru - the symbolism of the unfurled silver fern leaf.   The koru, highly pertinent to our cause, depicts new beginnings, harmony and growth.  It is often used as the symbol of new life (fertility). For endometriosis, we see it as the pathway to wellness.  Our koru design is unique to ENZ but represents all women everywhere as they strive to live well with endometriosis.

The shape of our logo is also suggestive of the 'e' representing endometriosis everywhere.

Our motto 'strength through support' is key to our unique character and philosophy as we aim to support those with endometriosis, those who treat it and create awareness and support of our organisation through our work.
