'Endometriosis - the brave face disease of women'
PPP stands for Patient Partnering Programme
This programme was piloted at Christchurch Women's Hospital in 2004 and functions successfully at other DHB's (District Health Board's) in the country. Patient Partnering Programme was developed for use in public hospitals as a result of trialling an holistic educational / counselling service at the Oxford Clinic Women's Health, Endometriosis Treatment Centre in Christchurch. Other private Centres of Excellence (CoE) in New Zealand aim to treat endometriosis with a multidisciplinary holistic approach, endorsed by experts as the gold standard practice of excellence. As well as inter-departmental service in hospitals, Patient Partnering aims to fill treatment gaps and improve the patient journey by providing patients broader disease management advantages, aligning with endeavours to provide best practice.ENZ can provide your hospital with details about the programme which provides a cost effective win / win situation for patients, staff and those doctors treating endometriosis.
The benefits, expected outcomes and patient review have been analysed and evaluated assessing performance, accountability and value added health care, confirmed by independent research (click here for research)
With sound understanding, information and support women generally feel in control of their condition, have increased personal productivity, fewer overall health costs and increased comfort as a result of comprehensive monitoring and holistic care.
