'Endometriosis - the brave face disease of women'
Specialised programmes
Education
ENZ has had a strong commitment to education since its inception in 1985.
A fervently held belief within ENZ is that education is key to changing what is viewed as unacceptable statistics (eg diagnostic delay, misdiagnosis etc). Clinicians require education to heighten their index of suspicion and lower their threshold to offer diagnostic laparoscopy. Patients require education to recognise symptoms, acknowledge departures from normal health and develop the confidence to request referral for gynaecological consultation. It seems logical that education can change the course of history for endometriosis.
The two main educational programmes ENZ has become known for are the adolescent
programme in schools and Patient Partnering Programme. Workplace Issue Solutions for Endometriosis (WISE) is a new programme for corporates, businesses and the workforce.
